Hyatt India and the Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel and Residences are pleased to announce the appointment of Dietmar Kielnhofer as Area Vice President of Hyatt India and General Manager of the Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel and Residences, which will begin on July 21, 2021.
Kielnhofer is a true hospitality veteran, having worked in the field for almost four decades. Kielnhofer may undoubtedly be described as a globe trotter, having worked in big and flamboyant places such as Tokyo, London, Sun City – South Africa, Bangkok, Mallorca, Vienna, Zermatt, Istanbul, Lugano, and others in diverse capacities across three continents. His most recent job was as General Manager of the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar in Mumbai.
He holds a doctorate in philosophy in business management and a master's degree in business administration in marketing, in addition to his enthusiasm for hospitality.
“I am thrilled to join Hyatt, a business strongly committed to the well-being of its associates,” Kielnhofer stated of his new job. “Our industry is all about developing people and bringing out the best in them; these traits distinguish Hyatt as a world-class hospitality organisation, and I am honoured to be a part of it.”
Skiing and golf are two of Kielnhofer's favourite pastimes. He is a voracious reader, and his alter ego allows him to channel his inner chef. Kielnhofer enjoys cooking and spending time with his family.
