At a time when Covid-19 was disrupting the country, ITC, FMCG-to-Tobacco major, has exported its Indian food brands to more than 50 countries in FY 2021.
Several brands of the conglomerate, headquartered in Kolkata and led by Aashirvaad atta, witnessed an increasing demand in markets across the world, including the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, UAE, Italy, and Saudi Arabia.
According to the company’s latest report, along with Aashivaad atta, several other products namely, Aashirvaad Svasti Ghee & Salt, Sunfeast Biscuits, Milkshakes & Yipee! Noodles, Kitchens of India Ambient Ready to Eat/ Ready to Cook & Frozen Snacks, B Natural Juices, Mad Angles, Tedhe Medhe Snacks, Sunbean Beaten Coffee Paste, witnessed strong demand.
ITC has begun focusing on expanding the international franchise of Sunfeast biscuit range, as Aashirvaad has already established a global presence.
To test and show worldwide competitiveness, all of ITC's companies are required to participate with global markets. In ten years, ITC's exports, aimed at earning foreign exchange for the country, totalled about USD 7.3 billion.
